EMS, Inc. is a private, non-profit corporation providing emergency
ambulance service within Collingsworth County and part of Childress
County. Its three ambulances are certified as "Mobile Intensive
Care Unit capable", staffed by volunteer members including 4
paramedics, 2 intermediate EMT's, 5 basic EMT's and 9 emergency care
attendants (ECA's). The service responds to 300 to 400 calls and logs
17,000 to 20,000 miles per year on the three units.
