Summer of 2015


The new City of Wellington swimming pool complex, The WAV, is now open and located at 506 Corsicana Street in Wellington, Texas.

This facility features a spray area, aquatic play structure, bridge, lily pad walk, rock waterfall, floatables, volleyball net, basketball goal, a 32 foot tall open flume water slide and speed slide, diving well with 1 meter and 3 meter diving boards, zero entry leisure pool and lap pool.

Also, The WAV has been designed with a tropical theme including sunshades, bathhouse/restrooms and concession area.  

The WAV is open Tuesday thru Sunday from 1 p.m. - 6 p.m.   Admission is $5 per day for anyone 4 years or older.   Individual and Family Season Passes are available.

 General Information

.   NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR BEVERAGES WILL BE ALLOWED INSIDE THE COMPLEX.

.   THE WAV RESERVES THE RIGHT TO INSPECT ALL BAGS AND PROPERTY                BROUGHT INTO THE COMPLEX.

.   SMOKING, (INCLUDING E-CIGARETTES), IS PROHIBITED INSIDE THE WAV               COMPLEX.

.   PROPER SWIM ATTIRE MUST BE WORN IN THE POOL AREAS.   NO CLOTHING         WITH PLASTIC OR METAL RIVETS THAT MAY DAMAGE THE SLIDES OR OTHER        SURFACES OF THE POOL WILL  BE PERMITTED.

.    INFANTS, TODDLERS, AND CHILDREN STILL POTTY TRAINING MUST WEAR A        SWIM DIAPER SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED AND MARKETED FOR WATER USE IN            THE POOL AREAS.

.   THE WAV IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST, STOLEN OR DAMAGED ITEMS.               LOCKERS ARE AVAILABLE  FOR RENT ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS.

.   YOUR CHILD’S SAFETY IS A SHARED RESPONSIBILITY.  ADULT SUPERVISION           OF NON-SWIMMERS AND  YOUNG CHILDREN IS ESSENTIAL AT ALL TIMES.               LIFEGUARDS ARE PROVIDED FOR MONITORING THE  SAFETY OF ALL                     GUESTS  AND SHOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED SUPERVISION FOR YOUR                      CHILD.

    CHILDREN IN FOURTH GRADE AND BELOW MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A              RESPONSIBLE ADULT  AT ALL TIMES WHILE INSIDE THE COMPLEX.  AN ADULT       IS CONSIDERED TO BE AN INDIVIDUAL 14 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER.

.   THE WAV STAFF RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DETERMINE WHETHER A                       SPECIFIED NUMBER OF SUPERVISING ADULTS ARE REQUIRED FOR ENTRY.

.   GUESTS ARE WELCOME TO BRING LIFEJACKETS AND ARM FLOATS.  WE ALSO       HAVE A  LIMITED AMOUNT OF LIFEJACKETS AVAILABLE ON A FIRST COME,           FIRST SERVE BASIS.  NO OTHER FLOTATION DEVICES WILL BE PERMITTED.

.    ALL GUESTS WISHING TO LEAVE AND RE-ENTER THE COMPLEX MUST HAVE          THEIR HAND STAMPED AT THE CONCESSION STAND BEFORE LEAVING THE             PREMISES.

.    DURING INCLEMENT WEATHER, ALL ATTRACTIONS AND/OR  THE COMPLEX          MAY BE CLOSED.     ‘RAIN CHECKS’ MAY BE ISSUED AT THE DISCRETION OF          THE WAV MANAGER.

 

 

RESTRICTIONS:   

     SAFETY IS OUR NUMBER ONE PRIORITY.   RESTRICTIONS DO APPLY.  PLEASE READ ALL SIGNS AND LISTEN TO LIFEGUARD INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE SLIDES AND/OR OTHER PLAY STRUCTURES.     ALL NON-SWIMMERS ARE PROHIBITED IN DEEP WATER AREAS.
